The Story

The Heart Behind Eagle Fire & Ice

From loss to purpose. From pain to peace.

In early 2024, Jane’s world changed forever.
Her son, Sam — bright, kind, and full of life — tragically took his own life after a quiet battle with his mental health. No words could ever capture the depth of that loss, or the silence that followed.

In the months that came after, Jane searched for something — anything — that could help her breathe again. She’d spent over two decades working in the events industry, creating beautiful moments for others: festivals, private gatherings, and celebrations for A-list clients. Her career had always been about connection — about bringing people together to share something meaningful. But after losing Sam, connection felt impossible. The noise of the world was too loud, and yet, everything inside felt unbearably quiet.

Then, on her own path toward healing, she discovered the powerful practice of contrast therapy — the combination of hot sauna and cold-water immersion.

What began as an attempt to find peace became a ritual of release. The warmth of the fire softened the grief that had settled deep in her body; the cold clarified her mind, waking her spirit from the numbness of loss. In the rhythm of breath and the stillness between extremes, she began to feel alive again.

As her own strength returned, Jane felt a quiet pull — a calling to share this healing with others. She saw how many people around her were struggling silently, holding their pain beneath busy lives. And she wanted to create a space where they could simply be: raw, real, and safe to reconnect with themselves through the elements.

Around this time, she reached out to Charles (Chuck) — Sam’s best friend.

Chuck, an electrician by trade, had also been struggling since losing his best mate. The two of them had shared everything: music, laughter, adventures. The grief had left a hole he didn’t know how to fill. When Jane introduced him to sauna and ice immersion, something shifted. The practice gave him structure, calm, and a sense of grounding he hadn’t felt since before Sam’s passing.

Together, Jane and Chuck found a shared strength in the rituals of heat, cold, and breath. They talked about life, loss, and resilience — and how many people could benefit from rediscovering the balance that nature offers so freely.

From that shared healing, Eagle Fire & Ice was born.

Today, Eagle Fire & Ice travels across Yorkshire and beyond, bringing mobile sauna and ice bath experiences to communities, festivals, retreats, and workplaces.
But at its heart, it’s still about what it was always meant to be: healing, connection, and the courage to sit with life’s extremes.

Jane’s background in world-class events brings professionalism, care, and atmosphere to every setup. Chuck’s grounding presence and hands-on skill ensure everything runs safely, smoothly, and with a touch of northern soul.

Together, they’ve created something rare — a business that doesn’t just offer wellness, but was born from the need for it.

Eagle Fire & Ice isn’t just about heat and cold. It’s about remembrance, resilience, and rediscovering the warmth of being alive.”
